What To Look For Tonsil Cancer

The "real" sad story (semi-serious) of Mikez Jakez

Storia in parte oscura e sicuramente troubled to Mikez and Jakez 1 but has made the fortune of Gondrand . In the Trieste branch of the leader of removals still stands a commemorative plaque.

The first of the two statues date back to 1517.

Piazza Unità d'Italy in those days was called St. Peter's Square, but was commonly called Piazza Grande in Trieste because, you know, simple things do not like.

The square had not been buried and occupied about one third of its current size, was surrounded by buildings that isolated it from the sea. The facades of the buildings looked the interior of the square. Between them, the group of those who gave back to the sea, there was also Clock Tower , also called Torre del Porto , or even Tower Mandracchio , always Trieste because the simple things do not like, which in practice was the door of the square that gave the ancient port city, called Mandracchio (small basin), squeezed between the prisons and the Inn Grande.

This task was entrusted

watchmaker Antonio Sebastianutto who saw to remove the device from the tower and reassemble it on ' building of the Lodge, who was on the opposite side of the square, almost in place Town Hall now stands. Trieste Many shook their heads in a clear sign of approval.

In 1875, the Trieste architect Giuseppe Bruni won the competition to design a new building that should have closed the square from the side of the old town. The new building, the Town Hall , should be formed by a single body monumental dominated in the central part, by a clock tower.

But some remembered the two statues that adorn almost three centuries before the Clock Tower (Torre del Porto alias , alias Tower Mandracchio , again because in the Trieste Simple things do not like) and convinced Bruni how nice it would be nostalgic and get back the two so-called Mori .

The problem was that none of Trieste, as long-lived, had never seen live the two statues you just knew that there were two Mori and were nicknamed Mikez and Jakez . A bit 'too little for Bruni .

Nights and nights to devise means to create and destroy molds. She finally decided that two pages Tyrolean would have gone very well and would certainly have pleased the House of Habsburg.

I two pages zinc in 1875 were modeled by the sculptor Fausto moldings Ceneda Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia.

I two pages were installed between 5 and 7 January 1876 and fought the first twelve bells at noon on January 14 in front of a cheering crowd shaking his head in approval. The two statues were baptized by the Triestians with a flash of brilliant imagination, and Mikez Jakez .

But Fausto moldings Ceneda who was an enthusiastic (and a pain in the ass first class), he thought that if two statues were good, four would have been even better and so with that the bronze was advanced in forge, modeled two torchbearers to decorate the baby square in Trieste.

A BEPIN and Giuanin , who had not yet recovered from the trip, they came to the ears, the voices that we were to take two other statues, they pricked their manes and dismay on the road to Venice , nitrite after three times under the natural tunnel , decided by mutual agreement to cross the hooves. They took refuge in a Frasco drinking Clinto and spent their days sitting in a patio to eat sandwiches and talk about fillies bean, hay meadows and fats.

The

Gondrand not lose heart and instead of the two horses to the best of their renegade equinorimessa, Bepòn and Giuanòn (vulgar Deborah for close friends), a couple huge Belgian horses, the first quiet and shady, slow-footed and powerful, the second and garrulous tongue, waving dall'andatura and saucy.

When the horses arrived in unexpected Piazza San Pietro Piazza Grande, or if you prefer , Trieste remained of the stone and even more Bruni architect turned to which the catheter helix: the new place Palazzo Municipio de there was, it was unthinkable to create other niches, the palace was so beautiful.

Trieste were also in complete agreement, the beauty of the building was not at issue, so that the affectionately nicknamed the Cheba (for cage-like structure) or Palace Curtain because hiding the Stari Grad and, even more enthusiastically, de Lionfante Budel, Castel de Almond or crunchy.

Where to put the two statues, then? Well, in the square, next to the entrance of the new beloved Palace. And what to call them? Initially thought to Trieste something unusual, like Mikeza and Jakez , for example, but a stranger who was passing by chance suggested that perhaps it was better to a more traditional name like Tinz and Marianza . From the square there was a scream: "NO SE POL! . In fact, from that moment, the two torch-bearers were called Tinz and Marianza 3.

Trieste I decided that the two torchbearers were to be the wives of two pages which adorned the Town Hall party and made all day not realizing that zinc drops down from the eyes of Mikez and Jakez .

love for the new square was immortalized in a popular song that was more or less like this:

wrong el palace of Xe, xe
brute
the sector and that Mikez and Jakez
bati hours,

and Tinz and Marianza
the
is the doorway to see the Signora
that comes from Liston.
4

(Xe el Palazio wrong! - Popular)

Bepòn was watching with puzzled eyes while Giuanòn was totally engrossed in the make-up rebuild.

Tinz and Marianza were placed on a stone pedestal on either side of City Hall to illuminate the main entrance. Arms raised, holding up a lantern in the hand of metal and opaque glass, oil-powered, then replaced by a frosted glass bowl, when power passed to gas. Tinz Marianza and they stood still in front a quel portone a chiacchierare tutto il giorno tra di loro e a Jakez questo non andava proprio giù: " Ma vara quela striga! Tuto el giorno che la ciacola e la se remena. Ma a mi no la me ga gnanca pel cul! Cossa la pensa? De gaver trovà el mona de turno? Ma la meto a posto mi! "

No one saw at night the same military that climbed the clock tower to receive from the hands of a euphoric Jakez a bundle of Reichsmark 5.

It then did not know what happened to the two statues. The versions are countless. Some say that both of the statues lie forgotten in the bottom of one of the many stores of the Municipality of Trieste , others say that the damage was fused to obtain metal for the country and a stake in the garden of a fascist era, the fact is that nobody knows if they still exist and where they are finished.

Mikez and Jakez observed from all this bustle of statues removed and placed of fountains removed to make room for a stage and the crowds of monuments shot time here and now there depending of the moment, then when they can no longer raise their eyes and saw the sea, were lost in that universe blue and said: "ghe not that bad x el mar, el xe format that what servants. "

The time went on and who better than they could realize over time, articulating every hour every day that God put on earth?

automata watch The contract does not provide a specific date for retirement, but after nearly a century of honorable service , zinc shoulder a little 'sore after all those shots to the sound of bat on the bell , knew and hoped that soon they could lay your clubs and enjoy a well-deserved rest, maybe on that tower, perhaps on two iron chairs, perhaps in front of that sea and the sky clear, whipped by strong winds and sea breeze . But they had reckoned without his host .

In 1972 tubes began to climb the scaffolding Town Hall and climb and climb and climb came at the two pages that looked curious, but when Piazza came in a truck Gondrand began seriously worry. Two workers were talking among themselves, saying: "I them away for nine them."

" What a facelift! Iera now! " said Mikez winking at Jakez .

did not know the unfortunate in the palaces of the City had decided to clone them! A new bell and a new pair of pages , identical to the originals, had just been cast from the bronze foundry Cavadini and Brustolin of Verona. In October of that year were fitted to the Town Hall on November 3 and the two robots fought for the first time hours in a Square Unification of Italy packed to capacity. That happiness was to give a name to two statues again!

This time they wanted to leave nothing to chance and the choice of name, to Autoconvocate Cafe of Mirrors the elite of 'Intelligent Trieste, professors, doctors, writers, scientists, lighting luminaries, chandeliers gangly, pharmacists, future futurists, frittimisti, poets, saints and sailors.

hours of debate, more than a thousand names submitted, evaluated and rejected, arguments, threats, insults, insults and spitting, then towards the evening, opened the doors of Coffee , left a cloud Smoke and neurons and, in the cloud, a little man, bent and withered that someone recognized it as the Dean Emeritus of the Faculty of Science and Innovation Originality sensational University of Trieste.

was helped get on the table and turned the square in outline and anxiously awaiting the historic decision. " After careful consideration of the subject, examined the pros and cons and possible scenarios, consider all the objections raised, the evidence and alibi, appeals and contrappelli, sifting, analyzing, sifting and measuring, after hours of careful and thorough study past, present and future, without any concession to the fashions of the time and seasons, or the archaic or nostalgic hankering for next, or stereotypes or archetypes, or practices, practices, traditions, values \u200b\u200bor ethical or political or historical or hypothetical, and the fact that the weighted, estimated above and below the gutted here, study the court and approved the proceedings, We, Illustrious and Distinguished Talents of the arts, sciences and professions have established that the new statue that now adorn our beloved city hall should be mentioned with the names of Mikez and Jakez .

A roar rose from the packed square, gloves and scarves, hats and children, domestic and wild animals were launched into the air as a sign of joy.

Mikez and Jakez , the real ones, waiting patients for their turn in the waiting room of the clinical appearance (which was very similar to a municipal warehouse). They stayed until 2005 when they were briefly exposed to the gaze of Trieste before being transported to Udine, for their restoration with the old bell. Since 2006, live on the ground floor of the Castello di San Giusto view of the entrance door.

Anyone passing from there in the evening hear the mumbles from behind the century-old portals: " Ciapa here! Who goes losses and lost place! I Siori the area, which to us smonarse in a doorway."
